Black Sabbath release their debut album on Friday the 13th ~ February 13, 1970.
January 20, 1982 ~ The “Diary of a Madman” tour is in Des Moines, Iowa when someone tosses what Ozbo thinks is a rubber bat on the stage. Legend.
Paranoid was released on January 7, 1971 and as a 14 year-old, I remember clearly saying to myself during the first 30 seconds of that maiden listen; “What the hell is going on here?”
49 years later, I find myself saying the same thing — only it’s not the music. Some lyrics never get old.
In the fields the bodies burning,
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind,Geezer, Ozzy, Tony and William
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
Ozzbo’s third solo album is released on December 10, 1983 …
I am heartbroken that these treasured physical memories of Randy and Delores have been taken from the family so I’ve decided to personally offer a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction and/or return of all stolen items.
In honor of Ozzbo’s birthday … check out the Black Sabbath Setlist of the concert at Dane County Coliseum, Madison, WI, on February 10, 1974 from the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Tour. Be sure to click on the “Comments” section!
