Stills Alone

The Captain releases a studio album on September 11, 1991. It’s Stills and Stills alone … just him and either his acoustic or electric guitar. The cover is shot by the legendary Henry Diltz. Ray LaMontagne says “TreeTop Flyer” inspired him to follow a career in music.

Besides being one of the premier make-out albums of 1975, America’s 5th has a host of other distinctions. It was produced by the legendary George Martin. Henry Diltz handled the photography and Phil Hartman designed the album cover and was in charge of art direction. Yes — that Phil Hartman, who left the biz shortly after this album and went on to an acting career and Saturday Night Live.
