Withers, the iconic singer of legendary songs like ‘Lean On Me’ and ‘Lovely Day’, passed away at age 81 following heart complications. The three-time Grammy Award winner died on Monday in Los Angeles.

Marvin releases his 14th on March 16, 1976. It’s considered one of The Prince of Soul’s most controversial albums and signals a move from the Motown Sound to a funkier Marvin. Conventional wisdom is that the album was inspired by Janis Hunter, Marvin’s longtime crush. Whatever and as with all Marvin albums, it’s a cool as the backside of the pillow.
