The album was created in 36 hours, a mix of original and re-worked blues/folk standards. The group was paid by Jimmy Page himself. Manager Peter “Bear” Grant chipped in, too. Jimmy Page’s friend since childhood — Glyn Johns — mixed the album and helped produce with Jimmy. So much rock history.
