As a teen, I’d drive south as often as I could just to hear “Chicago’s Finest Rock.”
When I got older, my goal was to work there for this guy. I got close but it never happened. But, I still listened and would drive with anticipation waiting for “no static at all” so I could hear the best damn rock radio on the planet.
Rest easy, Mr. WXRT. Well done. Well done, indeed.
