… until they rolled Mom into the lab and left me with her purse and my thoughts.
Mom wasn’t feeling well a few weeks back and her guardian angels (her posse of lady friends) got her to the emergency room. Everything checked out – at 95 there are bound to be a few dizzy spells. But a CAT scan found a mass in her lung unrelated to this episode and now we have to find out what it is and what to do about it.
Mom’s always spunky and telling people exactly how she feels and what she’s thinking. But today she’s quiet and subdued. She said it was that tough loss in 14 innings that kept her up late last night.
I don’t think that’s it.
