State Senators Dale Schultz and Bob Jauch got their heads together with other moderates in the legislature and tried to come up with a mining bill based on compromise. You remember compromise – that’s how we got things done in Wisconsin politics from – oh I don’t know – 1848 until 2010.
This is a good bill that takes into account the concerns of people looking for work, commerce, environmentalists, outdoors people, hunters, anglers and more. But Jeff Fitgerald and everyone’s favorite nimrod – Kurt Bauer – over at Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce don’t like it. They don’t like it at all.
